Within this project we have developed and are delivering informative workshops to local professionals, voluntary sector organisations and statutory services who work with Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and refugee communities. The workshops have been designed to make professionals aware of the hidden harms in these communities such as honour-based abuse, female genital mutilation, breast ironing, Domestic abuse, Substance misuse, mental health and many more. The goal of these workshops is to educate professionals on how to identify potential harms and how to respond. So far, we have delivered 50 hours of training across 10 workshops to 119 professionals. We have another 10 workshops scheduled to take place before March 2024. These workshops have been greatly received with lots of amazing feedback.
